Its cold and snowy out. Definitely a day for the treadmill. I’ve been in Colorado for about two months now, thought I had adjusted to the altitude of 6,800 ft and got on the treadmill. I was wrong.
It has been months since I have run and I was quickly reminded I was no longer at sea level. I don’t think I’ve ever seen my heart rate so high, even at this weight and fitness level. So for the next few weeks I will be doing short sprints on the treadmill till I get more acclimated and my stamina improves.
Want to add in some resistance training in the next week or so. I’ve been using MyFitnessPal to track my exercise and food intake. I do like that it does all the math for you and it’s easy to use. My only criticism so far is that it adds back in the calories from your exercise. My goal is a calorie deficit not to eat back the calories I just burned from almost dying on the treadmill.
Working on a Review section for the blog. Everything from past diets I’ve tried, fitness applications, food and various fitness/diet websites out there.
